Marcel Proust, George D. Painter: "René Peter, a playwright friend of Reynaldo and Debussy and a native of Versailles, was a constant visitor. They collaborated in a fairy-tale pantomime, of which Proust supplied the idea and wrote two of the five acts: where is it now? He thought of writing another play with Peter, with a preposterous but significant plot..."

Both Carter and Tadié suggest that the five act play with the "preposterous plot" was the same as the "fairy-tale pantomime" and was probably never written.
