Gossip. A literary event
Today, from the Fasquelle publishing house, in a volume under the Charpentier press, is appearing Les Autels privilégiés (Privileged altars), in which R. de Montesquiou stylishly transposes his poetic imagination. Studies on the ancient Masters or contemporary artists: Leconte de Lisle, Verlaine, Hello, Goncourt, Burne-Jones, Sarah Bernhardt, la Duse, etc., evocations of Versailles and an essay on gambling houses, a poignant subject rarely treated with such freedom and dash.
